Overview

Encantado Technical Solutions is currently seeking DevOPs Engineers to support the IT program at a major national laboratory. The overall program includes a 500+ work force performing Enterprise IT support, Service Desk, and Telecommunications support across multiple facilities and locations. The DevOPs Engineer will provide on-site and off-site application development, implementation, and related support services for classified and unclassified telecommunications and information technology (IT) systems with a workforce of approximately 14,000 personnel.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain internal company services, such as Confluence, and Gitlab
  • Deploy and maintain code documentation services
  • Build, deploy, and maintain virtual machine infrastructure and services for several software projects
  • Maintain continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) infrastructure
  • Improve the infrastructure and tools for development to meet the needs of multiple disciplinary software groups within the organization
  • Provide relevant feedback in the planning of software development and testing across the organization
  • Support general software static analysis and testing
  • Provide support for Standalone network applications.
  • Work collaboratively with software developers to deploy and operate our systems.
  • Help automate and streamline operations and processes.
  • Build and maintain tools for deployment, monitoring and operations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in dev, test and production environments.

Qualifications

DevOps Engineer I:

  • Bachelor's degree and 5 years experience.
  • In lieu of a degree, an additional 6 years of relevant experience is needed, totaling 11 years.
  • U.S. citizenship is required per contract to obtain and maintain U.S. Department of Energy security clearance
  • Using multiple operating systems and development environments, specifically Linux and Windows
  • Experience with cluster orchestration tools, especially Kubernetes
  • Using software version-control tools, such as GitLab and Maven
  • Experience with containerized applications using Docker
  • Developing web-based applications and writing scripts (such as CSS, JavaScript and Python)
  • Using shell-based commands and writing bash scripts
  • Strong background in Linux/Unix Administration, experience with automation/configuration management using either Puppet, Chef, Ansible or an equivalent.
  • Ability to use a wide variety of open-source technologies and cloud services.

DevOps Engineer II:

  • Bachelor's degree and 7 years experience.
  • In lieu of a degree, an additional 6 years of relevant experience is needed, totaling 13 years.
  • U.S. citizenship is required per contract to obtain and maintain U.S. Department of Energy security clearance.
  • Using multiple operating systems and development environments, specifically Linux and Windows
  • Experience with cluster orchestration tools, especially Kubernetes
  • Using software version-control tools, such as GitLab and Maven
  • Experience with containerized applications using Docker
  • Developing web-based applications and writing scripts (such as CSS, JavaScript and Python)

  • In lieu of a degree, an additional 6 years of relevant experience is needed, totaling 15 years.
  • U.S. citizenship is required per contract to obtain and maintain U.S. Department of Energy security clearance.
  • Using multiple operating systems and development environments, specifically Linux and Windows
  • Experience with cluster orchestration tools, especially Kubernetes
  • Using software version-control tools, such as GitLab and Maven
  • Experience with containerized applications using Docker
  • Developing web-based applications and writing scripts (such as CSS, JavaScript and Python)
  • Using shell-based commands and writing bash scripts
